Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using NimBill ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

NimBill is an invoicing and billing platform for Canadian freelancers and small businesses, operated by Northern System Solutions (Yukon, Canada). We provide tools for creating invoices, managing clients, accepting payments, and tracking billing activity.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when registering
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
• One account per person or business entity

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use NimBill to:

• Send fraudulent invoices or misrepresent your business
• Violate any applicable Canadian or international law
• Attempt to access other users' data or systems
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform
• Send spam or unsolicited communications through the platform

5. Payments and Billing

• Paid plans are billed monthly in Canadian dollars (CAD)
• All plans include a 14-day free trial — no credit card required to start
• You may cancel at any time; your plan remains active until the end of the billing period
• We do not offer refunds for partial months
• Payment processing is handled by Stripe and subject to their terms

6. Your Data

You own your data. We will not access, share, or use your business data except as needed to operate the Service. You can export your data at any time from Settings, and delete your account and all associated data at any time.

7. Uptime and Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any losses resulting from downtime, data loss, or service interruptions. We recommend keeping your own backups of critical invoice data.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law, NimBill and Northern System Solutions are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability in any matter shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Yukon, Canada and applicable federal Canadian law. Any disputes shall be resolved in Yukon courts.
